Another long day at the workshop. Feeling run down and in need of a break from 10+ days of 12hr intensive days. No workouts for the last four days because of the long days at work.

Another day off from the workshop
swim workout
30min continuous swim (well sort of, needed water breaks so I swam 3 x 10 min sections)
flip turns are getting better, breathe at the cross, then flip
bike workout
40min at 95-100 rep, 5-10min warmdown
on the stationary bike at the gym watching the olympics, long ski jump and aerials, its fun to train to the olympics
A cold run
Ive got Sunday off from the workshop, so I went with one of the students to meet up with the Running Rooms Sunday group run. The only problem was that it was -20 C with the wind chill (-13). Yuck. I ran the 25min to the Running Room from my hotel and then did a 10k run with a pretty slow run group in 1hr 12min. The route and the people were really nice and the cold wasnt too bad.
After all of the intense work lately, it was nice to have a 2hr nap in the afternoon after the run.
Saturday Plans
The community centre is open until 7pm today. Im going to try and rush back after work and get on a bike for as long as I can. Hopefully, there will be some Olympics on, and I can use the mp3/fm player that Will brought from Vancouver for me.
Big surprise, work went later then anticipated. I managed to get a quick 30min of cycling in at the hotel.
Not Exactly
I wouldnt say today was exactly a rest day. No training though, and other than being so exhausted from the workshop that Im feeling motion sick and not really sleeping – I feel great. Ha!
Tired on the Bike
45min on the stationary bike at the hotel (from 10:30 – 11:15pm). Working 12hr intensive teaching days is definetly getting to me. Its Day 4 of the workshop, Id better pace myself to make it through.
Treadmill
55 min run at the community centre. I think that must be the longest time Ive ever run on a treadmill. I watched the olympic cross-country skiing and then the combined slalom races.
Swim at JCC Nadal
This community centre is amazing. The lifeguard was the chat-iest lifeguard I have ever met. Aparently the pool is 25 yards long (not 25m).

300m of 30 sec vertical kick drill, 50m easy
4 x 50m with 15 sec rest, 4 x 100m with 20 sec rest
My flip turns were too close to the wall, need more practice.
Stationary Bikes
45min stationary bike ride in the hotel in the morning.
50min bike on a great stationary bike at the JCC Nadal community centre.
Stolen Bike
Today my bike was stolen. In broad daylight, locked with a Kryptonite lock in a figure 8 around the frame, to the rack, and through both the front and rear wheels.
No spin class for me tonight
I guess Im buying a cool new bike
I still want Jake back, though
