My route was from UBC to the end of Iona and back, then to Steveston. I got to Steveston and still had to go 30 min more (that’s the problem with getting so much faster on my bike). I only brought one gel, so stopped at home to get more food with 20 min left to go on the bike. This workout was a really hard workout for a weeknight. I tried to get in a good rythmn and just keep moving. It was a nice warm evening. The rhythmic flap of the herons wings and the calls of the redwing blackbirds kept me moving. It’s sure nice to live on the edge of a bird sanctuary.
