Today, the Science Scouts were on Boing Boing again. How cool is that! If you didn’t know this already, my alter ego is a scientist. Don’t worry, this doesn’t change anything between us – the only place I use my Dr. moniker is on my Safeway club card.
In between my training sessions, I’m currently in the process of getting myself a brand new Science Outreach faculty position at UBC. Basically, I will get to talk Science with high school kids, teach up a storm, and do fun things all day. The Science Scouts are a group of like minded crazy scientists in Vancouver who’ve got TV shows, write science columns, talk on the radio, do experiments with diapers in centrifuges – that kind of thing. I fit right in. Our website has become a bit of a web phenom. It’s been fun to watch.
run
easy 30 min run – Kerrisdale corridor trails.
I went to run group but didn’t feel up to a time trial.
I’ve still got a cold.

Diapers in centrifuges eh? Wow!
I’m a little spaced out this morning so it took me a minute to figure out what you’d done with your blog. Love the new pictures!
Also love the Science Scout badges – I’ve sent the link on to all my science geeky friends. And realized I have a lot!
A question – do you sew the badges onto your lab coat or do you have a sash, like in Guides?
